Our First Visitors in Jerusalem

In September 2007 my Aunty Kath and cousin Talitha were visiting Israel. They were the first visitors to share a meal with me in the new home in Jerusalem. Hummus, salad & wine at sunset on my rooftop balcony.

Our Apartment in Jerusalem

We live in a small apartment located in east Jerusalem in the suburb of Shufat, approximately 3 km from the UNICEF office. The apartment is located on the top floor (3rd floor) of the building on the right hand side of this picture. The apartment is small but we have the large rooftop as our verandah which is a great place to relax on sunny days. The top photo was taken last week during the second snowstorm in Jerusalem this winter.

Yesterday Chris and I went to the beach. We really enjoyed relaxing in the sunny beach, because last week it was cold and snowing in Jerusalem.

My First Snow

Last month it snowed heavily in Jerusalem and this was the first time that I had ever seen snow! It was cold but due to the road closures Chris was given a day off work so we stayed at home and had a nice day watching old movies, drinking hot chocolate and eating popcorn and marshmellows!
